The Night Water 100th Subscriber Special
A Q&A with our 100th subscriber, Colin
They say it's important to celebrate your milestones. Milestones like leaving home, earning your first paycheck, falling in love, and, of course, subscribers to your email newsletter. You know, basic coming-of-age stuff.
On January 17, 2022, only 4 months and 2 days after our last major subscriber milestone and a mere 11 months and 5 days after the very first post, Night Water reached 100 email subscribers. The Night Water community continues to be a patchwork of friends, family, old coworkers, complete strangers, and almost the entire staff of the fintech startup Retirable. Though you may not all know each other, you have come to Night Water like moths to the fridge light in search of refreshing, late night posts.
The 100th person to seek the water was Colin, who was kind enough to divulge a few details about his life and how it's been irrevocably bettered by Night Water.
Who are you and what is your deal?
I am a trial attorney based in Milwaukee, WI, and am happy to assist any of the other 99 readers of this newsletter with any legal needs.
How did you hear about Night Water?
Adam Cecil and I have been in the trenches for years... in an online generic version of the board game Risk. His writing is very good and I look forward to more, unless he betrays me on WarGear.net.
Where were you when you found out you were Night Water's 100th subscriber?
Cloud nine.
Now that you're subscribed to Night Water, what's next for you?
I am biding my time until the print version of Night Water comes out. In the meantime, I'll keep up with the online version when my 20-month-old son wakes me up in the middle of the night.
What does the phrase "late night vibes" mean to you?
Whiskey and a tweed sport coat with some Slim Thug and a fireplace. Or a full night's sleep.
Thank you Colin for subscribing to Night Water and for answering our burning questions. When will we achieve our next milestone of 200 subscribers? Who will be the next person to submit to our interrogation? What will their late night vibes be?
You can help out by sharing Night Water posts on social media, with friends and family, or in an email to your entire company. I'm sure they'll all appreciate it.
